Lily Hensby and Lotte Beckett are actors, writers, comedians and theatre-makers.
They joined forces as a dynamic duo in 2022, debuting Hensby's play Last Time at Sydney and Melbourne Fringe Festivals, where they were nominated for Best in Theatre.
In April 2023, they made their comedy debut in We're New Here at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and in July, they re-staged Last Time independently at the Motley Bauhaus to rave reviews. They performed their Harry Styles-centric play, A Fine Line at Melbourne Fringe 2023.
As a comic duo, they have performed sets at Limbo Comedy, Corner Shop Comedy, Melbourne International Comedy Festival: Festival Club ‘So You Think You’re Someone Else?’, The Improv Conspiracy, Crush Nights, Laugh Cry and Good Girls Comedy.
In 2024, they were longlisted for The Martin-Lysicrates Prize and shortlisted for the Katie Lees Fellowship with Flight Path Theatre in Sydney.
Hensby & Beckett like combining zeitgeisty topics with big, messy human emotions. They are passionate about creating work that makes you laugh as much as you cry.

Hensby brings the gritty awkward humour that life likes to throw at you after something horrendous happens. Using a type of camp dramaturgy within her work, she throws the audience around with her quick wit and confronting honesty.
