Lily Hensby is a comedian, playwright, actor and director. She is from Dharawal Country and works between Gadigal Land and Naarm. She has written and performed I, Julia (Sydney Fringe, 2025), Hittin’ It Big (Old Fitz, 2024), A FINE LINE (Melbourne Fringe, 2023), We're New Here (Melbourne International Comedy Festival, 2023) and STALLS (ArtsLab, 2020). She wrote and directed Last Time (The Motley Bauhaus, 2023), Pretty Fly for a Dead Guy (Shopfront, 2019), and co-wrote and co-directed D.O.A with Mark Rogers (Shopfront, 2019) and she directed The Magnificent, Terrible Hottie Avery by Tasnim Hossain (Shopfront, 2018). She has made work with re:group, UOW, Shopfront Arts Co Op, Carclew SA, ATYP, PACT, Merrigong Theatre Company and 107 Projects.

Pretty Fly for a Dead Guy is published with Australian Plays Transform and her monologue This is Yours is published in This Was Urgent Yesterday by Currency Press. In 2025, Lily became a house performer at Improv Theatre Sydney where she regularly performs in shows. Lily holds a Bachelor of Performance and a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) from the University of Wollongong. Lily just closed I, Julia, a comedy show all about her idol Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
